Rationale and Objectives

Highly trained human resource is one of the driving forces to a nation’s economic growth and development.  Men and women of outstanding achievement in their respective fields are expected to assume positions of influence and eventually create an impact in their countries’ economic, social and political development.  Thus, education plays an important role in shaping would-be leaders to steer an institution or a nation to progress.  The effects of globalization on education offer a wide range of opportunities and challenges to higher education institutions in Asia and the rest of the world.
